Say Yes/Say No

In order to say "yes" to what is truly valuable, to achieve what we really need to achieve, we have to learn to say "no" in a positive and respectful way. These are the words of William Ury, the author of The Power of a Positive No: How to Say No and Still Get to Yes. Three Questions

Ed Batista quotes his favorite passages from Peter Drucker's essay "Managing Oneself" on his blog. Here's a gem:

[M]ost people, especially highly gifted people, do not really know where they belong until they are well past their mid-twenties. By that time, however, they should know the answers to the three questions: What are my strengths? How do I perform? and, What are my values? And then they can and should decide where they belong.
